Pocock Brewery to Host Beer Fest to Benefit Education
Castaic and SCV Education Foundation’s to receive funds
SANTA CLARITA, CA (November 22, 2019) —
Pocock Brewing Co. will host its 4th Anniversary Beer Festival on Saturday, December 7th at its location in Valencia. Once again, the net proceeds will be donated to the Castaic and SCV Education Foundations.
The festival began in 2016, which was the 1st anniversary of the opening of Pocock Brewing Co. The family-owned brewery wanted to celebrate their anniversary, in style, by raising funds in support of the local education foundations, saying “We chose the education foundations because, as parents, we saw how our valley-wide schools were in need of extra funding for activities and programs that continue to be lost due to lack of government funding.” The Castaic Education Foundation was chosen because the Tisdell’s children attended school in the Castaic District and the SCV Education Foundation was selected “because of their support towards all public schools in the SCV”, adds co-owner Todd Tisdell.
Since inception, the two foundations have received over $25,000 as a result of the event. Executive Director of the SCV Education Foundation, Jackie Hartmann, is extremely grateful. “We are very thankful that Pocock Brewing Co. has been so supportive of public education and that the visiting breweries come to the event knowing where the funds will be donated”.
The festival will feature 21 different vendors from 12-4pm. Although the VIP event is already sold-out, general admission tickets are still available. Attendees will receive a souvenir glass which will be used to enjoy unlimited 3 oz pours. Festival guests can also expect a great atmosphere where they will be surrounded by excellent music and delicious food truck delights. Attendees will experience dozens of different offerings of beer, wine, cider and kombucha from vendors throughout California.
